    ENGINE
FPT Iveco N67 Diesel, 6 Cylinder, 6.7 Litre 150hp Marinised and supplied by Mermaid Marine, Poole Balanced fuel tanks
    LAYOUT AND FIT-OUT
This beautifully designed widebeam has been fitted using the popular reverse layout. At the stern there's the cockpit, with steps down to the galley. Beyond is a living area followed by a combined dining room, office and library. A central corridor runs between 'his and hers' heads, with showers, WC's, Bidet and Basins. The cabin is in the Bow, with storage a plenty. Light oak is used in the lining and fit-out, and the joinery to a very high quality and standard as you would expect from Kate Boats of Stockton. The ceiling is painted white, while the floor is hard wearing quality finish Karndean, in a Black Parquet effect with Under-Floor heating.
    COCKPIT
The Hydroponic Steering position in the cockpit is immediately forward of the rear deck. There is also Tiller arm option for the more traditional steering. The cockpit also contains an electrical cupboard while on the opposite side there's ample storage. Wide shallow steps lead down into the galley; the treads of all the steps lift for extra storage.
    GALLEY
Entering the galley, the sense of space is incredible, the headroom is particularly noticeable. The galley is stylishly equipped with wooden units, beautiful American black walnut work surfaces and a breakfast bar. On a boat like this there's room for all the appliances to be full-size, including a gas hob and an eye level oven and grill, the fridge and freezer are hidden behind doors, while the washing machine is in a cupboard by the stairs. Glass fronted display cabinets are all internally illuminated that run through both the galley and living area.
    LIVING AREA
Two large sofa's are featured in the living area, one on the port side and a U-shaped one directly opposite on the starboard side with storage built in the bases. It can also be converted into a guest double bed. There is a Sig Marine diesel stove with a feature flue positioned right in the center of the boat. It's worth mentioning that the underfloor heating has been more than ample along with radiators all through, to even need the stove lighting.
    DINING ROOM AND OFFICE
Port side of the boat features an office area with a desk, shelves, cupboards and filing cabinets. There are ample 240v sockets for a laptop/computer and space for a printer which is cleverly concealed in a draw. Vendor is leaving this printer on board. Starboard side of the boat has a similar large run of cupboards and shelves that gives the feeling of a library. There's also a flat-screen TV on an extending arm so it can be pointed in whichever direction is needed. In the centre of the room there's a circular black glass table accompanied with dining chairs. A flexible area indeed.
    CABIN
This is a stylish, luxurious and intimate space. A central walk-around king size bed is the main feature of the cabin, with two separate mattresses allowing easy access to the storage underneath. The central walk around bed allows ample storage all around the cabin, with full height wardrobes and a range of low level units, shelves and dressing tables. Front security doors lead to the bow deck and cratch area.
    HEADS
A glazed door leads to a central corridor, with 'his and hers' heads either side. Both heads have a unit with a dark wood top and a stylish white basin with a mirrored cupboard above, a Tecma macerating loo, heated towel rails and shaver sockets. The starboard side head additionally features a large quadrant shower cubicle, lined with Wet Walls laminate and the port side head is equipped with a bidet and full height airing cupboard which houses a calorifier.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
WHAT MAKES WALHALLA UNIQUE Walhalla is often wrongly compared to a traditional Widebeam boat. But the specification overall is in fact very different from a Widebeam. A few examples of the differences: Walhalla is driven by a 150hp engine, hydraulically through a hydraulic drive to the propeller. It is steered from the Cockpit with a wheel hydraulically connected to the rudder. Widebeams have a relatively small engine (typically around 80hp) and are steered from the Stern with a tiller. Walhalla has Hydraulic Archimedes Screw Bow and Stern Thrusters. Widebeams may not have thrusters at all. If they do, they are usually electrically driven and in the bow only. It is almost unknown to find a stern thruster in a widebeam. Walhalla has highly efficient underfloor heating (35000 btu) controlled by thermostat. This leaves walls free of radiators allowing more space for fitted furnishings. Most Widebeams are heated by radiators. These take up considerable interior wall space that could be used for seating, storage, or workspace. Walhalla was custom built from the keel upwards from designs by the Owners and based on many years of living on board other boats. Its design is completely unique. Widebeams are normally produced from standard profiles and templates, which is why they all tend to look rather similar. Internal fittings tend to be proprietary modules, utilising synthetic materials. Example - MDF and plastic – Walhalla is genuine oak throughout except for work-surfaces which are American Black Walnut. A few differences between Walhalla and some cruisers/motor yachts Walhalla can cruise all broad canals and most Rivers e.g. it can cruise the entire Thames from Estuary to Head of Navigation at Lechlade - and all the lovely places in between. A lot of cruisers must turn around in Oxford by Osney Bridge – Osneys maximum clearance is 7ft 6inches, far too low for most white cruisers. Walhalla has much more living space and storage inside the cabins than almost any other boat of similar length and beam. Moreover, the hull was specifically designed to give maximum headroom where it would be most needed, eg the Galley, and lounge, (for standing) lower in the Dining Room/Study (for sitting) and lower still in the bedroom (for lying down). Being all-steel and port holed Walhalla is almost bomb and thief proof. Other The hull design and engine power is eminently suitable for European Canal and River Cruising. We built the boat with this in mind, but ill health has prevented us from achieving this ambition. For HMRC purposes Walhalla is regarded as a ship and is therefore VAT exempt for major service, maintenance and repair bills.
