Lagoon - 52 Flybridge for sale

    Sailing BoatsMultihull SailboatsLagoon52 Flybridge

The angular coachroof, bevelled deck edge and cutaway bows create a more sleek, aggressive look to the Lagoon 52F. Equally striking is the mast position which has been moved aft and is now supported by a post in the middle of the saloon. This brings considerable benefits in terms of both performance and handling. The high aspect ratio mainsail gets the canvas high where the breeze is most effective and the short boom is easy to control. The lighter mainsail is easy to pack away at the end of the day and setting the main aft creates room for a large self-tacking genoa and there is no need for an inner forestay.

On the flybridge, the Lagoon 52F has enough space to walk around the helm, which further eases handling in many respects. The central steering wheel also pivots to port or starboard to improve visibility when sailing or parking - a great feature.

Below decks the layout feels similar to her larger sister, the Lagoon 560, particularly with regard to the port aft cabin which is accessible from the cockpit. Island double beds and vanity desks feature in all the cabins of the 3 and 4 cabin versions and 5 and 6 cabin layouts are also available with proven charter appeal.

The interior of the Lagoon 52F has an Alpi Walnut interior as standard, with a lighter wood colour available as an option.

The aft deck features a very wide gangway between the transoms and there is space for an optional raised bench seat here too. Forward of the coachroof you will find Lagoon's trademark sunken cockpit and it is safe to say there is no shortage of room in the shade or the sun, away from the tangle of ropes, where you can truly relax. The very latest version of the Lagoon 52F now features a convertible helm seat which can also function as an upstairs dining/coffee table.
This is an example price only and assumes the following factory options have been fitted:

Helm seat cushions, Storage unit in starboard cockpit furniture, 220V electrical circuit, AC monitor, 100A battery charger, Gel batteries, 1260 Amps, Stainless steel davits and manual winch, Opening portholes with curtains in aft cabins, Leather bulkhead organisers in the cabins, Radio/CD/MP3 player with speakers in saloon, c'pit and f'bridge, Navigation Pack

    Includes tanks refilled on arrival

    Lagoon 52 Full Flybridge Catamaran

    Principal exterior features

    • The boat is accessed via open aft transoms, facilitating boarding and disembarking
    • Broad sidedecks, with integrated deck hatches.
    • The cockpit is level with the saloon, and has an outdoor lounge and sun-lounging area
    to starboard.
    • The fly bridge is reached either by a staircase leading from the cockpit, or by another
leading from the deck on the starboard side.
    • On the fly bridge, the manoeuvring lines are forward of the steering station while a
spacious sun-lounging / seating area is located to aft.
    • The steering station can be adjusted to three different positions (starboard, centre or
port), giving the skipper perfect visibility under sail or when manoeuvring.

2 diesel saildrive engines, 57hp (80hp option available).

    Diesel capacity 1000 litres

Both engines are located in watertight compartments behind aft cabins and accessed from the transoms. This arrangement minimises interior noise and heat, maximises the interior space and provides easy access for servicing

Pressurised hot and cold water to all bathrooms, galley and transom shower

Water heated from engine or from 220V immersion heater

    Fresh water capacity 960 litres
    Rigging: Performance and user-friendliness

The decision to locate the mast further to aft directly comes from the designers’ racing
    experience and has many advantages:

    • Centring the mast in this way creates a large forward triangle (a promise for great
performance), whilst affording all the simplicity of a self-tacking jib.
    • The large forward triangle also means it is possible to use a respectably-sized Code 0 for
    light wind conditions.
    • A “VMG” option allows to “divide” headsail surface areas with a moveable self-tacking
    staysail and an overlapping genoa.
    • The shorter boom makes the mainsail much easier to manoeuvre.
    • The mainsail, which is relatively narrower and higher, benefits from better winds at the
top, thus enhancing performance: extending the sail centre really improves performance,
    • The forestay and shrouds are at much wider angles to the mast, thereby substantially
reducing compression: this choice allows to reduce sample weight, thus increasing
    stability and speed.
    • By re-centring the weight in this way, pitching is considerably reduced.
    Interiors: Comfort, space, light…

The collaboration, one might say complicity, between Nauta Design and Lagoon, can
mainly be seen in the association of geometric forms with luxurious, ‘‘warm’’ materials,
while optimising the use of space in the saloon and the cabins.

    • The saloon encompasses the lounge and dining table to starboard, a large galley to port
which gives on directly to the cockpit to form a large ‘L’, together with the chart table in the
    middle, facing out to sea.
    • No matter which interior layout you choose, all the cabins have large double beds,
storage space in keeping with the offshore sailing programme of the boat and, of course,
an en-suite bathroom with separate shower.
    • Light and airy: the cabins have incomparable natural lighting thanks to the fixed hull
windows, together with excellent ventilation thanks to the deck hatches and portholes
that open out to the hull-side or to the cockpit.
