Bruce Roberts design steel Coastworker fitted with twin shaft drive 6 cylinder Ford D series turbo diesel engines. This craft was constructed by a local engineer in 1995 and launched c2000. She features a huge aft deck making her an ideal fishing/div/work boat. She can sleep up to 4 in her forward bunks and also features an electric sea toilet. She is a heavy build with substantial mooring gear. Described in an original survey as been "engineered to an exceptionally high standard". Hull
Built to drawings by Bruce Roberts. Twin screw diesel powered and of all welded construction. Watertight raised fore deck and after well deck, enclosed forward wheelhouse. Hull 4mm plate. Stringers and frames 5mm, deck and superstructure 3mm plate. Designed by Bruce Roberts constructed by local engineer R Holmes. Painted with a high performance system by Jotun paints. Medium V section with a full length box section keel.
Engine Installation
Twin marinized fresh water cooled Ford 6 cylinder D series turbo charged diesel units. Both engines when fitted had been re-built with new pistons, liners, reground crankshafts, reconditioned turbos, starter motors and alternators were new. Coupled to Hurth 630A 2.0 marine gearboxes.
