    Ribs - OtherUnited KingdomBournemouth

Here we have for sale my Apex 15 Rib with Mercury 75Hp Fourstroke on a Roller Coaster Trailer.

I purchased this rib at the start of the season after having a few years out of boating and wanting to get back out on the water, however due to some training I am now completing and with a first property on the horizon the fun patrol has said that it is time for it to go and I think it only fair that someone else gets some use out of her over the summer.

Apex are similar to Zodiacs however the tubes are that bit larger offering greater protection from the spray and also a huge safety asset if you have younger children; the tubes are patch free and in amazing condition, holding full pressure with no leaks. The hull itself is in pretty much spotless condition, I spent a good few hours giving it a good clean and polish when I first got her, bit of a perfectionist and dirt equals less speed. She also benefits from a ‘Keelguard’ which for those who don’t know is a strip attached to the bottom of the hull along the keel allowing you to moor her somewhere that drys out at low tide, and therefore sits on the bottom without scratching the keel.

She benefits from a rear dual bench seat for the driver and passenger, under this seat is a larger storage area and access to the main battery isolator switch. The console has a cushioned steering wheel wtih hydraulic steering, fitted last year; much safer and effortless to drive. The throttle is on the right hand side with normal finger trim, ignition and kill cord. All associated dials are in working order, these include, fuel, speedo, tachometer and trim gauge. On the side of the console is a Marine Stereo with radio, CD and Bluetooth connectivity pumping out of two 7 x 9 speakers mounted on the console facing forward and also under the legs of the rear bench seat. Mounted around the top is a wraparound windscreen and a grab rail which has a couple of paint chips but otherwise in good condition and hidden behind the windscreen is a Garmin Fishfinder / GPS combi unit which is great if all you’re bothered about is short range cruising and just need to know your depth and basic nav data. The front of the console doubles as a cushioned single seat with the battery and all the wiring underneath and a fire extinguisher mounted on the side. The bow benefits from an anchor locker which doubles as a seat and then on the forward nose is a solid anchor cleat and two navigation lights mounted either side. Under the floor is a 80 litre fuel tank which is filled through a petrol cap on the stern.

The engine is a 2004 Mercury 75Hp Fourstroke, fitted with a five blade stainless steel prop, so when you really want to get a shift on you really can get going. Not 100% on the hours however it is estimated to be above 200 but below 300, and the condition of it concurs with this and I am trying to get my mates laptop to do a diagnostic on it to confirm. Never had a problem, fires first time, only time she was an issue was when the battery was a little low but couple a charge pack up and fired straight away.

The trailer is rollercoaster with all rollers suitably supporting the hull, with a winch fitted at the front and all in good condition with a spare wheel mounted underneath the winch. A full light board is supported on extenders at the back, clearly visible behind the engine.

Overall this is fantastic boat and an ideal starter boat for someone taking their first steps, however be aware that she is very powerful for her size so you will need to exercise some common sense. Always wear a kill cord! Any inspection is welcome and if you have any questions then give me a call - Phone number removed - r drop me an email. I have tried to cover everything that I think is relevant but will have probably missed something. I will be truly sorry to see her go but with the lack of use, feel that she would be better off with someone that can use her throughout the summer. I am open to sensible offers however please don’t insult me, there is one of these up for £9999 which I think is overpriced and therefore setting something more realistic. ...Read full description
