Halmatic Pacific 22 RHIB For Sale MOD No 89106 “Fugly”Due to lack of time and space, I am selling My ex MOD Pacific 22.
It is fitted with a Ford Sabre 6 cylinder 6.0 litre turbo diesel engine that has had a full rebuild including intercooler, Turbo and all ancillaries. It is also fitted with a rebuilt Hamilton jet drive and a Velvet drive gearbox with forward and reverse (used for backflushing the jet to dislodge seaweed). The boat was stripped back to a bare hull and completely refurbished during the Winter/ Spring 2013/14 I Have masses of photographs and a large stack of receipts. The tubes are in good shape and hold air for ages. It has 4 lifting points set into the deck for slinging.
The boat was setup to do support and safety for dinghy championship events in and around Chichester Harbour and out into the Solent. It was based at Hayling Island Sailing Club from July 2014 for 3 years and was in regular use. Hayling Rescue had use of it to cover for their RIB, whilst it had a refit. It is a solid heavy commercial type boat, rather than a lightweight pleasure craft. Top speed is around 27 knots and pottering it uses around 10 litres per hour The stainless steel tank holds around 120 litres.
It excels as a tug and for alongside tows, due to the manouverabilty of the Jet drive. The layout with the rear 2 seat side by side driving position means that there is a large area over the engine box / seating where I would carry dinghies across that were in trouble to get them back ashore . The seating on the engine box seats 4 - 6 back to back, plus of course you have seating on the tubes. There is a lot of storage in the drivers consol that has a removable front and cubby box and large underdeck hold / anchor locker in the bows with 3 access hatches. It has a Samson post on the bows and a small towing post on the transom. It has electro hydraulic large trim tabs on the stern, 3 bilge pumps, twin large batteries, Nav lights, GPS and VHF aerial mast, Icom radio, Garmin GPS and Raymarine Dragonfly GPS and Sonar / Downvision.
The boat has been standing for a couple of years and needs a little TLC and tidying, a lick of paint (supplied) and varnish and the odd electrical gremlin. There will be other odd jobs due to it being standing. But needs time rather than money to get it back up to speed. It is on the button and runs well. It is a typical Sabre, smokes on startup when cold and clears once warmed up. Sounds great when you open it up!
It comes with a new in 2016 Indespension HD dual axled trailer. Has only been used for 1 journey to get the RIB back to my yard in Surrey.
This is a heavy setup and will require a a vehicle with a towing rate in excess of probably 3200Kgs.
