The Hull is of Carvel construction, with 1?" larch planking on oak frames. Every third frame is a substantial grown frame bolted to a grown oak keel floor. Intermediate frames are steamed oak. Fastening into the grown frames are galvanised iron square nails, into the steamed frames fastenings are copper nails and roves.
All frames and floors are believed to be original, with the exception of one keel floor in the region of the engine which has been replaced in laminated ash, and four steamed frames in this area which have been sistered at the turn of the bilge.
The main deck is constructed of 19mm marine ply, supported on oak beams and sheathed with epoxy/glass fibre, finished with Kiwi Deck non-slip paint. The coach roof consists of elm sides with a softwood T&G deck, again sheathed in epoxy/glass. Upright parts painted with International 2 pack.
The cockpit has been fully rebuilt in 18mm marine ply, new oak beams to the bridge deck, and composite locker lids.

Constructed of solid laminated Douglas fir in 1989. Stepped in galvanised steel tabernacle. All fittings in galvanised steel, re-galvanised painted with gloss white 2 pack. All standing rigging is stainless steel, adjusted with bronze rigging screws.
Boom & gaff also solid laminated Douglas fir (1989) Boom fitted with bronze roller reefing gooseneck not used due to slab reefing mainsail.
All blocks by Lewmar, Spinlock clutches for headsail halyards, Anderson #10 self-tailing halyard winch. all halyards in polyester braid on braid.
