MY GU’ is a much-loved and very lightly used Gran Soleil 40, one of the last design from Paperini and Duck Design. She is the perfect value for money fast cruiser with low maintenance costs and she is able to host 6 guests for easy handling cruising.

Designed as an easy-to-sail performance cruiser, the Paperini-designed Grand Soleil 40 is equally at home family cruising as she is racing around the cans or offshore. The ergonomics of the entire cockpit are nearly perfect. The seats are wide and comfortable with well-angled coamings, and the teak cockpit sole is attractive and provides secure traction. Low coamings and long teak handrails make it easy to go forward, and the helm station is excellent. There's an especially nice spot to windward when the breeze is up; the wheel pedestal is angled to make a splendid foot brace. Even shorter skippers will have good sight lines over the low cabintop.

MY GU’ is a 3-cabin, 2-heads version of this very popular Italian performance yacht and was bought by her current owner to spend summers sailing with family in and around La Spezia. Having always benefitted from routine annual maintenance, she presents in extremely good order, with her main specification highlights including:-
    3-cabin, 2-heads layout
    Larger 39hp engine option
    2.15m lead keel
Performance rig with 3-sets of spreaders
    Carbon sails plus gennakers
    Simrad instruments with chart plotter
    LCD TV in saloon
    Tender and outboard

“The Grand Soleil 40 is a nice example of a noted Italian builder's response to the trend toward "performance cruising." If your middle years are no longer over the distant horizon, if you love to race or just cruise fast, if you want luxurious accommodations after a hard day's work rounding the buoys or rounding a headland on an extended cruise, the Grand Soleil 40 is a boat to consider.”
    Sail Magazine – September 2004
