    31ft Miss Silver Silver's Motor Sailer

    Single screw Ketch-rigged motor sailer with a long keel and round bilge hull form and of traditional timber carvel construction. Built by Silvers of Rosneath to a John Bain design, built of high quality with good quality materials. Solid laid teak deck.
    She offers full headroom throughout the accommodation. With her 10ft running pretty much the length of the vessel makes for a surprisingly roomy accommodation. Wheel house is amidships access to both side decks. saloon galley and heads forward
    with a double cabin aft.
    Misty Monach in her previous ownership spent at least three years in the Boat shed at Mashfords, Cremyll, Plymouth her owner at the time was a very fastidious man, he himself and their shipwrights went through the whole vessel, refitting and restoring her, new electrics, upgrading all the brightwork etc. He sold her in pretty much on completion of this long refit and went on to buy back his original yacht a Peter Duck....
    She went from Plymouth along the South Coast to Chichester. and has been kept their. Unfortunately due to ill health she must now be Sold on. There is a plan to bring her up here to Essex to Downs Road Boatyard where we can carry out some necessary care taking work and ongoing maintenance she now requires.
    The hull is of carvel planked Mahogany construction fastened to closely spaced Oak steamed timbers, single and double sawn frames. Fixings are of copper boat nails at timbers and bronze screws at the sawn frames. Stem, keel, dead woods, engine beds and structural floors are all of Oak fastened with steel or bronze bolts, nuts and washers. Stringers, gunwales and carlins are of Pinewood timber fitted with Oak deck beams and these in turn are overlaid with solid Teak deck planking with polysulphide rubber seams. The cockpit coamings and wheelhouse structure are all of Mahogany and Teak, together with most of the deck furniture and internal fit-out. External cast iron ballast keel.

    a Jabsco double acting piston type marine toilet is fitted at the forward compartment and a Blakes two-piston type marine toilet is fitted at the stern compartment.
    A two burner grill and oven cooker is securely fitted in the galley area.
    Sink with hot and cold water. Hot water is supplied to the basins via a calorifier unit securely fixed within the port side of the stern cabin. This is heated from the coolant water of the engine or by electric immersion heater when mains supply is available.
