Westerly Seahawk for sale. UKA reliable steady sea boat, I have had an interest in this vessel myself for seven years, and whilst sailing her I have replaced running rigging and warps. Boarding either over side decks of transom ladder to: Large Centre Cockpit The helm position gives a good overview of the boat and means it can be managed single handedly for the majority of journeys. Main and genoa sheets are in easy reach of the helm along with navigation information from the chartplotter and other displays. Wheel steering with mainsheet track and cars running along the rear coamings of the cockpit. Binnacle compass with stainless arched frame / hand hold, the engine throttle control is also attached to the frame. The engine start and rev counter ar in the starboard side coamings in good eyeline and easy reach of the helm. There is seating for approximately 6 persons with 2 of the seats being well forward and under cover of the spray hood. GPS Speed Log, depth display along with wind and direction readouts are in the spray screen base forward of the sliding hatch giving good glare free sight of all information underway. There is also a Standard Horizon 3000 chartplotter at the helm. Charts updated 2017. This can be programmed with course information and communicates with the GPS display under the sprayhood. The plotter also receives GPS and AIS information from an aerials mounted on the stern rail. At the helm there is also VHF handset that is part of the ICOM VHF/DSC installation. This gives the helm full use of the VHF without leaving their post. The fuel filler is in the cockpit floor on this vessel. The cockpit floor is fitted with shock absorbing,permeable rubber tiles that contribute to comfort and reduce noise. There is a very large locker to starboard with steps down into the hull. This holds warps and mooring lines along with the emergency tiller other sundries. Two further lazarette lockers are accessed from the aft deck behind the Cockpit. Het are both vented, so safe for gas and petroleum storage. Locker to port holds buckets, electrical cables, hoses and cleaning materials a 20 litre diesel can, engine oil and the petrol can for the outboard. The locker to starboard holds two Calor Gas cylinders and the regulator and connections to the stove in the galley. The tailing sheet winches are positioned high on the coamings, with the halyard winches and clutch banks being forward and under the sprayhood to each side of the main hatch.
Forward and down hatch to: Main Saloon & Galley comprising of an L shape base unit that fits across the ship giving a forward facing position when stood at the twin sinks W/ H&C water. storage lockers below. there is ample work surface as the countertop continues aft incorporating the Gimbaled gas hob, grill and oven. Eye level lockers and crockery store. A fridge wired to a separate battery with intelligent switching to use mains when that is connected. From the galley looking aft the engine can be accessed on the port side by way of removable panel and round to the front by removing the ladder to the cockpit At the base of the ladder and to starboard : Chart table Large rear facing chart area with a dedicated fixed seat, (storage underseat) VHF, depth, speed and distance repeaters along with Philips GPS driving a Yeoman Plotter. In addition there are NASA Navtex and NASA Meteoman, recording barometer and wind data repeater displays at the nav station. The lid of the navigation table lifts to provide storage for charts and document. Fiddle edged shelving into the hull sides for pilot books etc. There is a radio with independently controlled speakers in the saloon and cockpit. Also the display and control for the Adverc battery management system. The main switching panel and breaker board has been refurbished by the original manufacturer.

On the port side a continuation of the seating follows into a vanity unit with basin and mirror W/ H&C water plus a full length hanging locker. forward through Gally to: Main Saloon To port there is a short settee for two that converts to a transiting berth with lea cloth, the berth extends into the forward cabin by way of a cut away for your feet. to Starboard the C shaped dinette seats four to five. the twinleaf dining table opens for dining on both the sette and dinette seating. The dinette can be converted to a double berth. under seat and seat back storage plus additional fiddle edged shelving for books etc. Forward and through door to: Heads & Hanging locker This transition space give dressing room forward and access to the heads, the full hanging locker is to port with the heads comprising of sea toilet and basin W / H&C water sitting to starboard. forward and through door to: Forward Cabin The cabin has full standing headroom a full width double berth with shelving to each side and under bunk storage, there is a small hatch into the chain locker. Plus a large glazed hatch to the foredeck.
