Blaze is currently Located in Spain Mer Manor, which is very close to Murcia San Javier airport. She is on a well protected yacht club mooring which is very cheap. In my ownership i have sailed the boat through out the Irish sea, up to the west coast of Scotland down to Falmouth and then to Barcelona last year. This year we Cruised around the Balearic islands for 4 months. In April this year she was hauled out, i pulled her engine out to clean it up and replace the engine bay sound insulation. 2 years ago she was fulled stripped and re-varnished in single pack epifanes and every year since she has had two coats applied to keep her in excellent order. She has been a pleasure to own and now she needs to go to another good home, as i'm moving to Australia and thats just a little to far for me to sail her. My partner wont let me ! haha

    Specifacations and design

Peter Brett is best known nowadays as the designer of the famous Rival range of yachts.
The Dee 25 Class was one of his early successes and subsequently evolved into the Rival 31.
He designed the first boat, Fair Rover for himself, the design was featured in Yachting World magazine in 1951
and she proved very successful in his local Irish Seas races.
    10 more Dee 25s followed.
No 2 Rondinella is a name many people will know, winning the Cowes Dinard Race in 1959 and the only boat in
Class 111 to finish the 1965 Channel Race – see Adlard Coles, Heavy Weather Sailing.
All the Dee 25s were built by Allansons of Freckleton on the Lancashire coast and the class that followed was
named after the River Dee at Freckleton.
Such was the success of Fair Rover, the yard went on to build another 9 boats to the same design.
The design had some interesting features. The Dee 25 has not excessive draft with a long keel for good stability
limited over-hangs and a generous beam for the period. It is said that the drying mud berth mooring near where
he lived on the Dee Estuary was an influential factor in the design.
The interior rigid ply bulkheads are an integral part of the design and contribute to her strength. She stands up
well to her rig and is remarkably fast.

Planking shelf and stringers are selected pitch pine on English Oak, the Deck is Makore faced plywood with teak margin boards. Seams are caulked and splinned above the water line and caulked below the water line. Ballast is all in the Iron ballast keel with 1" Galv Bolts.

She comes with everything that is onboard, and there are other various sails and bits which are in the UK and can be collected by the new owner. There is a Survey report available for anybody who is interested. She is well worth a view, if you are after something ready to go and in the Med already. If you are interested she could possibly be delivered to another location for the new owner, again get in contact.

Payment will be done, via balance transfer.
