Springtied is a good example of this fast cruiser and has benefitted from many upgrades under our ownership.

Keel Configuration: Fin with a Wing
The Keel was removed in 2010, keel bolts checked, keel flange epoxied and re-seated
Main cabin is of an open plan design which incorporates the galley and Navigation station.
There are also 4 berths (2 in V berth Forward & 2 settee berths). There are an additional 2 berths in the separate rear cabin. Which has a small hanging locker.
There is Standing headroom in the main cabin aft of the compression post.
The table is mounted on the compression post and is removable. It can also be raised/lowered or swung round 180 deg. to give more room.
There is a Separate Heads to Stbd, with an ITT/Jabsco manual sea toilet. And a wash basin c/w hand operated water pump & hanging locker
The Galley is to Port with a Plastimo 2 burner hob & grill on gimbles(New 2007) The Gas Bottle is located in a bespoke Gas bottle storage which is self draining to overboard. This is located within the main Cockpit Locker. A local gas isolating valve is mounted near to the hob. There is a battery operated Carbon Monoxide alarm in the main Cabin.
The Galley has a Sink with a manual water pump. The plastic fresh water tank is located in a locker under the sink.
There is basic insulated cool box in the counter top and storage cupboards under sink and cooker .
The Navigation Station is to Starboard with its own seat and small chart table with storage.
All upholstery is original but in good clean condition.

Engine. Yanmar 1GM10.
Engine is serviced and winterised at the end of every season.
Engine start panel on companionway side, Engine pull to stop in corner of companionway top step
Spinlock ATCU Throttle and gear control with removable handle in cockpit.
Engine starts easily on the button, and runs well.
Complete overhaul in 2005 including re-bore, new main & big end bearings etc. all work carried out by a qualified diesel engineer. Further Cylinder head overhaul in 2017.
The Yanmar Exhaust Elbow prone to failure has been replaced with a stainless steel one of my own design that prevents water ever entering the engine in the event of perforation.
The Prop shaft has a packed gland type seal with remote grease system.
The propellor is a 2 blade Flexofold folding prop and was new in 2011 and is in very good condition
A new prop shaft was fitted at the same time. It is protected with an anode mounted behind the prop and a further one halfway up the stainless steel shaft. The cutlass bearing was replaced in 2020.
2 off 2KG ABC powder fire extinguishers one in aft cabin adjacent to galley, one in main cabin area.
Shore Power with twin 13A socket adjacent to nav station with RCD Protection. The Shore power connection is in the Cockpit locker and the lead is stored in a settee locker
Springtied is laid up ashore on her own bespoke cradle every year from November to March.
The mast is removed and stored undercover in a building.
The Bespoke Yard/launching cradle is available by separate negotiation. The Cradle is designed to be dismantled for storage or transport.
We have owned Springtied since 2004 and over the years we have maintained & upgraded her to enhance our use of her.
She is a great boat to sail. Very responsive. Points well but bear away and she really gets going.
The twin rudders provide plenty of grip even when heeling.
There is lots of room down below, more than most 25 footers.
She has the usual minor dinks and scrapes that you’d expect of a boat of her age.
Despite being 33 years old she still has the look of a modern yacht due to Tony Castro’s innovative design.
Springtied is currently lying in Cowes, Isle of Wight.
