Kingfisher 30 yacht in very good condition. Chay Blyth sailed one to The Cape! Heavier than modern ocean going 30ft with sheet steel bilge plates making it safer, smoother and more stability. Bilge profile allows use of cheaper moorings and drying areas. Extra deep cockpit adds to safety making this an ideal choice for families or beginners at an affordable price. Raised aft deck area (great for lounging) and wide side decks.
She has a large curling Genoa and battered mail sail with lazy Jack's and a cruising chute. 2 mast mounted Winches, 2 port and starboard cockpit winches for sheets and cruising chute. Plough anchor with 30m of chain gives good holding. Twin cockpit drains, access hatch in cockpit sole to gear box and stuffing box. Man overboard life sling, Danbury and horseshoe life buoy, stainless steel boarding ladder at stern which is great for accessing the river via a tender. We have installed solar panel for 3 110amp 12v batteries and she has LED lighting. The charge is shown in 2 LCD displays over chart table. Yanmar 3GM30F 3 cylinder fresh water cooled diesel with Kanzaki 2-1 gear box which gives an easy cruising speed of 6 knots when not sailing. There are stern bunks which are used for storage including gas bottles and also house the new improved fuel tank which was previously in the bilge keels. Companionway steps easily removed for engine access leading to galley on portside with twin sinks, manual water fuel pump, storage, cool box and new gimballed cooker with twin burners, grill and oven, auto gas shutoff and electric ignition. Large chart table with storage and instrument panel, VHF radio, depth sounder , navtex. Manual windlass, autohelm tiller pilot with fluxgate compass +10 or +1 adjustment, originalbulkhead compass. Standard horizon chart plotter mounted under spray hood. The comfortable teak interior includes folding teak table, storage lockers over saloon port and starboard berths. Teak door separates saloon to companionway to port heads with sink and manual foot pump, lighting. Wet locker to starboard leading to twin fore peak berths with storage shelving.
Recently painted 2 years ago and a good looking boat currently moored in an idyllic location off the River Dart and wonderful location for holidays. The trot mooring is on old mill creek ( potential for renewal) but she is presently at Creekside boatyard marina making viewings easy. She is a fantastic value for money, safe boat and it is a reluctant sale due to me having relocated. She is equally at home creek crawling due to 1.1 bilge keels as she is at sea and has been well cared for.
