    Nicholson 32 mk. 10 (1974)

Bluewater cruising yacht – U.K. registered. All taxes paid.

A rare chance to buy one of the best cruising yachts ever made, this Nicholson 32 is in excellent condition having had a complete re-build in 2014, with absolutely everything professionally replaced. She has completed a 2-year Atlantic circuit, newly repainted and re-varnished she’s ready to go again. Regularly featured in Yachting Monthly Magazine, winner of the Georgetown (Bahamas) Best Kept Boat Award 2016.

2 owners from new, same sailing club. I have old photographs of the boat and all receipts and paperwork for equipment purchased by the previous owner. All receipts for work done under my ownership have been kept, as well as all of the manuals and warranty information. Also included is the original 'Blue book' registry, the original purchase receipt and orignal plans. The hull was gelcoat stripped, dried and epoxy coated in 1996 for osmosis prevention (photos available) no blistering or other problems are present. Under the previous owner the boat was stored inside a hanger for 7 months every year for 40 years! As a result the deck gelcoat is in fantastic condition and the boat as a whole, has had far less weathering than other examples.

I'm not buying another boat at the moment and need the money for a house deposit, so she comes complete with everything you need. Including all ropes, lines, fenders etc. and lots of spare parts. Solar panels. Everything you need to go sailing.

During the 2014 refit everything was replaced. The list is almost endless! But some of the main items are:

    Engine: Beta Marine 30 – New 2013 – 450 hours
All standing rigging replaced - 2014
    All running rigging replaced -2014
All electronics and wiring replaced in 2014
All seacocks and through-hull fittings replaced with Marlon composite fittings in 2014. All plumbing and pipes new in 2014.
New Genoa 2014 - Sanders Sails
New rudder 2014, including rudder shaft, arm, bearings and steering linkage.
New propeller, prop shaft, exhaust system - 2014
New Aries Windvane self-steering - Bought new in 2014
Life raft and EPIRB were new in 2014, in date until 2020.
Included are a lot of engine spares, as well as other essential parts for the boat, in total, over £500 worth.
Victron Blue Solar MPPT charge controller

And a new SeaTeach Cruising chute is also available.

Anchors: Manson Supreme 16Kg on 50m of 8mm chain. Kedge anchor: 20Kg grapnel on 10m 8mm chain and 30m 16mm rope

Wheel steering, converted from tiller by previous owner using GRP moldings from Halmatic. All halyards are at the mast. Slab reefing, with 3 reefs in the main. Lewmar 40 self-tailing primary winches, Lewmar 8 spinaker sheet winches and halyard winches.

The boat is in great condition, inside and out. With all the big jobs done she offers low maintenance and trouble free sailing for years to come. She has been continually maintained to a high standard, the engine has had oil changes as per the recommended service schedule and additionally whenever the boat has been winterised. Last engine service was carried out 01/08/17.

All wiring is tinned marine grade wire run through conduits behind the headlining, with mousing lines laid in for easy removal or addition of wires. The switch pannel provides 25 individually fused circuits offering some redundancy and space for future expansion. In mast wiring is also tinned, marine grade. All new in 2014.

Having been fitted out for offshore voyages she has a lot of equipment which I appreciate not everyone will want. Available by seperate negotiation are: Aries windvane (New in 2014), liferaft (in date untill 2020), EPIRB (in date untill 2020), inflatable dinghy (new August 2017) and 2hp 2-stroke outboard, new Asymmetric spinnaker. I also have an old Seagull outboard in good condition if anyone is interested. Ideally I would like to sell everything together and I am open to offers for the lot.

I currently live a couple of hours drive from the boat, viewings are welcome by serious buyers only please. The boat is out of the water in Southampton and ready for any inspection, please email, or call in the evenings, if you have any questions or for more details.
