    BUILD The Oyster 485, a highly regarded long legged centre cockpit cruising yacht, sloop rig with a practical two-cabin layout. Designed by Holman & Pye and built by Bridland/Windboats for Oyster Marine in 1996. Hull No 19. Part 1 British Registered. EU VAT paid. Two owners from new.

    CONSTRUCTION White GRP hull with “sugar scoop” transom and forest green style lines. Lead HPB “low centre of gravity” keel and skeg supported rudder with cable linked wheel steering and emergency back-up. Underwater surfaces epoxy coated in 2006 as a preventative measure.
    White GRP deck, superstructure and self draining centre cockpit. Alloy toe rail. Teak laid side decks, coachroof, cockpit seats and cockpit sole. Teak internal joinery, carpeting to internal floors.

    ENGINE Yanmar 4JH2 DTE 88hp 4 cylinder diesel engine. 4,304 engine hrs. Flexibly mounted with reversing reduction gearbox and flexible coupling driving a shaft driven 3 bladed MaxProp folding propeller. Fitted “stripper” rope cutter. Machinery in upgraded sound deadened compartment. Copper fuel pipes with protective coating. Exhaust alarm. Bow thruster with cockpit joystick control.
