MIRAGE 28
The Mirage 28 was an extremely popular family cruiser from the late 1970’s through to the early 1980’s. The design of the interior utilises the available space very well. The boat benefits from 5’10” headroom in the saloon and the cockpit offers good protection meaning the boat can be easily sailed short handed. This particular Mirage 28 is the preferred Bilge Keel option meaning she can comfortably dry out. Although fair to say it will benefit from some upgrading and cosmetic improvement, her current owner has has focussed on the more sailing friendly elements and has recently had a major engine overhaul costing in excess of £1,000, new main and fore sails in 2021 and had its standing rigging replaced in 2018. This is very much a sailors boat that is fun to sail while offering decent accommodation for a boat her size. She is currently lying out of the water in Southampton & is available for viewings through Aspire Boat Sales.
