BOAT SHARE FRANCE                                                                                                                           Hi and welcome to this rare opportunity to own a 1/8 share in our 32 ft motor cruiser based in a market town marina in the beautiful Macon region of Burgundy.   Giving 6 weeks use per member throughout every year.
Weeks are chosen by friendly discussion each year.  Weeks not required may be swopped by negotiation with each other at any time. Three shares still available and 17 weeks available this year between June and October,
The boat can be used for exploring the many miles of waterways going south towards Lyon or north towards Dijon. The Saone is one of the most beautiful rivers in France affording many outstanding points of interest and gastronomic specialities. Alternatively use your weeks for long weekends in the marina.
A short walk from the marina, the local area boasts a chandlery,Carrefour supermarket, local restaurants and bars, amongst other things.
The boat is very well kept and run by a UK based friendly and flexible group of like minded people with a sense of pride in our boat who keep in touch throughout the year.  Equipped with all necessary safety equipment, bedding, towels and crockery etc. she is ready to sail in spring 2022. No previous experience is required but you will be required to hold the International certificate of competence /CEVNI qualification which can be done online for a cost of about £200.

She can sleep up to 5 people, accessed from stairs leading from the upper deck to a double and single bed in the rear cabin under the fly bridge and a double bed converted in the lounge area where the dining table will seat up to six people. Entertainment can be had on board, 5G WiFi with a flatscreen TV/DVD and satellite, the JVC CD Stereo and various books and games.

The kitchen area has a four ring full size gas hob, oven, grill and under counter fridge. The boat also benefits from having a microwave.
A washbasin/shower and toilet is located adjacent to the master cabin.Hot water is provided by an instantaneous LPG heater or by shore power via hot water cylinder.
The boat has various storage areas both internally and externally including a large bow area accessed from the lounge.
There is 220v AC power from shore power or a 12 volt system via engine /batteries when shore power is unavailable. There is warm air heating 24/7
Sidedecks provide access to the bow where the two bikes are kept.
The boat has an external and internal helm with gauges, hydraulic steering, throttle and bow thruster control. The external helm is situated above the aft cabin with guest seating  area and picnic table for chilling, admiring the scenery, and dining with a bottle of local wine or a cold gin and tonic.
The Kubota Nanni 40HP inboard diesel engine was new in 2011 (total hours 1400) and burns approximately 2 litres per hour.  Fuel capacity is 215 Ltr.   Freshwater storage is 400 Ltr.

The annual costs associated with the running of the boat are approximately £3000 and shared equally. Each member pays £30 pcm. by standing order. Any major unexpected expenditure if required will be first discussed by all members and costs split equally.
In addition you pay for any fuel used.
There is a syndicate agreement which requires a 2/3 majority vote to sell or move the boat to a new location, all other matters are by majority decision.
This is not a time share but an owned share which can be sold returning the whole sale price to you without commission. To charter this boat would cost in the region of £1250 to £1600 per week. The syndicate gives the opportunity for enjoyable boating for many years on a sensible budget as opposed to owning yourself and paying all fees and costs for it to sit unused most of the year. In addition ,you will have 1/8 share in the ownership of a car(Citroen C5 estate)which is kept at the marina or airport and gives you the opportunity to explore the local countryside or for use to and from the airport (Lyon International)
