Hull and construction

• Moulded deck surface with built in chippings to provide non-slip.
• Heavy displacement type, constructed from two GRP mouldings bonded at gunnel line.
• Hull is stiffened by way of foam stringers and frames, moulded frames, bulkheads, intercostal bearers and supports.
• Engines installed below the saloon sole
• Drive via conventional shafts and propellers.
• Rudders are bronze spade type, with bearing/seal arrangement at top and bottom

Mechanical and systems

• Two Caterpillar 3116 6 cylinder diesel engines
• Rated at 300hp @ 2800rpm
• Serviced February 2022
• Access via a manually lifted hatch in the cockpit, plus a removable sole in the saloon
• Twin Disc hydraulic gearboxes with a ratio of 1.5:1
• Fitted with trolling valves (each gearbox)
• Gearboxes are attached to the 1¾” stainless steel shafts via flexible R&D couplings.
• Kobelt single lever controls at the main helm station, plus cockpit controls
• Analogue displays include engine rpm, temperature, oil pressure, are displayed at the control positions.
• Voltmeters
• Two bronze handed 3-bladed propellers are fitted. Left handed on port, right handed on starboard.
• Hydraulic steering system with wheel command from both stations
• Two Bennett electro-hydraulically operated trim tabs
• EMI Marine Genset generator, based around a Perkins twin cylinder diesel is fitted in the aft space.
• Rope cutters
• Large Marelon sea cocks feeding main engine cooling

Electrical

• Batteries divided into two banks.
• Service batteries renewed 2019
• Engine start batteries renewed 2021
• A separate generator start battery is fitted in the aft space renewed 2020
• Battery banks are charged by way of engine driven alternators, and a 240v charger.

Tankage and water system:

• Two painted aluminium fuel tanks with a capacity of approximately 1365 litres
• Filled by independent deck fillers.
• Twin polyethylene fresh water tanks with a capacity of approximately 455 litres 
• Tank supplies a pressure activated Shurflo fresh water pump that in turn supplies all outlets
• Hot water is provided via a calorifier, heated from the port engine
• A 240 volt Immersion heater is also fitted
• Tender gauges for water & fuel holding tank level gauge and pump out switch
• 1 x Polypropylene holding tank with capacity of approximately 227 litres with deck exit and underwater discharge
