Description
Frances Mary was built of iroko on steamed oak timbers and launched in 1999. Rigged as a gaff cutter and cruised on the East coast and to France, she has for some years been used un-rigged as a river cruiser on the Norfolk Broads with a removable 'tiller house' (this would be unusable rigged). She was fitted out as a live -aboard home for a couple or solo to sail anywhere in safety, and has large water, fuel and storage capacity. The saloon table lowers for an extra berth if required. A small coal stove provides a cosy saloon and extra hot water. A Webasto heater is also fitted as well as a calorifier. Seating on top of the engine box is used for both the small galley and large chart table. Typical Maurice Griffiths davits enable a small dinghy to be carried. This vessel HAS to be seen to be appreciated. The advertised price is as she stands (floats) at April 2024 but she will soon be out of the water for her regular Three yearly overhaul, and a survey this year, and I shall be adding these and any further costs to the purchase price, this only, maybe negotiable.
