1 Owner from New and these are indeed the genuine and well explained comments from the owner as to why he chose to buy this make/model Leopard & Caine 43' CAT: 

- The Leopard 43 was developed from a stretched R and 0 42; I used to own the 42; liked her so much, it was an easy decision to buy the new 43'; very similar to the 42' apart from the extra length in the stern and with a hard Bimini.

- I preferred this boat to others because she was prettier, the hull has a beautiful bow-to-stern chamfer and, importantly, she sailed better than other similar sized cats.

- The inside layout was also far superior to that of other similar sized cats, four double cabins, each with a proper sized double bed, with entry to all beds from the side (not over the pillows), each fully en suite, plus two extra single bunks forward as well.

- The steering position was also superior to most of its competitors, seating two up above the cockpit, with a clear view ahead (not stuck high above the Bimini), and in the shade.

- I felt she would be an outstanding family boat, strong and safe, and so she proved to be; each stern has a flat step at water level, best for boarding and man overboard.

- I was a frequent visitor to Cape Town in 2005 and so was able to watch the construction as she was built, very useful.
