Jeanneau Yachts, Jeanneau Boats & Jeanneau Sailboats - “The Technology of Beauty”
The story of the Jeanneau Shipyard began in 1957 when Henri Jeanneau built his own racing boat in his father’s workshop to compete in the “Six Hours from Paris” race. By 1961, Jeanneau had created a motorboat out of polyester, with the decks sculpted from wood. In the same year, Jeanneau produced a boat made entirely out of man-made materials called the Jeanneau Mirage. Using more innovative and simpler methods, the construction of boats from wood was left in the past and glass-fibre reinforced plastic production was slowly put into place. In 1964, Jeanneau boats unveiled its first of many sailing yachts.
