Najad Yachts
The Najad shipyard was founded in 1971 by boat engineer Bern Arvidsson in Kungsviken on the Swedish island of Orust. However, at the end of the 70s he moved to a new workshop on the yacht harbour of Henan. Twenty years later the company finally settled on its current location in Varvsvägen, Henan. The first Najad yacht was the legendary Najad 34 model and since then the shipyard has made a name for itself as a provider of incredibly stable seafaring yachts. The Najad 320, which was first built in the years that followed the Najad 34, also belongs to the classics. In 2003, Dutch entrepreneur Alfred van Wincoop took over the company and revolutionised its range of boats. One of the most loved of these new, sportier lines is the Najad 505. Today the English company, Animatrix capital Ltd is the chief partner of the firm. The hull and the deck of a Najad Yacht are produced in Amal on the Swedish island of Dalsand. Final assembly of the boats takes place at their headquarters in Varvsvägen.
