What is the fastest boat in the world? Counting the world's fastest cars is easy. But when it comes to boats, things get a little more complex. There're sailing boats, motor boats, catamarans, a yachts on the water, which varies greatly in size, shape, and ability to propulsion. It's impossible to compare a catamaran with a superyacht or a sailboat, but each of them breaks the speed limit in its way.
In this article, we have listed the top 10 fastest boats in the world according to the fastest speed reached and highest miles achieved per hour.

The Spirit of Australia (317MPH)

The Spirit of Australia is a wooden speed boat that was built in a Sydney backyard by Ken Warby in 1978. It broke the world water speed record that day. Powered by J34 jet engines, it recorded a speed of 317.6 mph. So far, no other watercraft has been able to match this performance. There is now a permanent display of the unlimited hydroplane at the Australian National Maritime Museum so people can see the boat that made history.
