Pearly Monarch with 25hp outboard & Degraaff trailer

 

This is an amazing opportunity to own a classic 1960’s aluminium boat with many original features, a quiet and efficient outboard, on a superb 2024 Degraaff twin axle trailer.

 

Purchased in 2024 as a training platform for Junior members of my team to design and realise their ideas and concepts – now surplus to requirements.

 

This was originally a stern drive boat from factory but was converted to run an outboard for river use by a previous owner.

 

A phenomenal amount of money was spent by a previous owner in 2012 for a refit – I have the invoice along with other historical paperwork. I also have some history on the boat model, manufacturer and fittings which I can pass on.

1965 Pearly Monarch built by Windboats, Norfolk.

 

Painted aluminium hull and deck.

GRP fixed windscreen with Perspex screens and GRP sliding hardtop with glass screens.

2x vinyl swivel chairs with folding backrests on raised bench (this used to be the integrated fuel tank location), 12v battery, manual/auto bilge pump with float switch, wooden slated bench with removable vinyl cushions, 2 x storage boxes/steps/seats, lever throttle with 2x keys, original bow light (needs attention) & LED stern light.

 

Included extras; various anchors for different ground types, prop bag, wooden flag pole & flag, tonneau cover for cockpit, 2x Hull Hugr fenders with lines, 2x rope hooks, water muffs for outboard, & Ducksback all over cover.

 

 

1998 Mercury/Mariner 25hp ELPT Bigfoot 4-stroke outboard.

 

The Bigfoot option is to the lower leg and can handle more torque, idea for heavier vessels.

Power trim and tilt – with control on throttle lever and on engine.

25 litre plastic fuel tank with hose and priming bulb.

Engine hood painted to match hull colour.

Carb rebuilt and serviceable parts replaced.

Gearbox oil, impeller with faceplate and housing replaced.

Fuel filter, fuel hoses and spark plugs replaced.

Engine oil and filter replaced.

 

 

2024 DeGraaff CK2000/4 centre keel roller trailer.

 

2000kg twin axle braked bunked trailer with carrying capacity of 1500kg.

Not to be mistaken for the cheaper trailers out there.  These are extremely well made and adaptable, see photo for full spec.

I had the following options added; carpet covered bunks to suit the frame structure of the boat’s aluminium hull structure, docking arms, bearing savers & flush holes, and rear stays were added at my request (helped with stability for access while dry stored).

It’s never been in the water as the boat was craned onto it at the yard and only travelled 320 miles, thn raised on 4x axle stands (not included in sale) to reduce static load on bearings and tyres, hubs have been periodically rotated.
