Description
The Calife is a sloop designed by the Frenchman Philippe Harlé in the Seventies and built by the Jouet shipyard under the Yachting France brand. A low draft (1.10 m), a generous beam (2.50 m), and a high ballast/displacement ratio (about 40 percent) reveal the cruising philosophy with which the Calife was conceived, capable of providing excellent speed performance and good stability.
Built in fiberglass and made unsinkable with expanded polyurethane, it has a full-width cabin and interiors that can accommodate four people in a single space. To the left of the cabin descent is the kitchen, to the right a bunk, while the toilet is located in the "V" of the forward bunks and hidden by a removable cushion.
