Saxdor have taken a traditional pilot house boat and updated the design for the modern boater.

Starting at the bow the stainless steel anchor is powered by a windlass, nothing new there however the anchor mounts flush to the prow of the boat and is deployed by a stainless steel lever to make sure it clears the prow. The bow seating area is comfortable for two+ people however again Saxdor have been working their magic. Its spacious, but the gunwales are high and offer great protection/safety yet underneath the seating is a spacious cabin with good head height (more of that in a moment). This particular boat's seats are in a stunning caramel vinyl which tones with the light grey hull beautifully.
Immediately behind the seating is a large glass sunroof which allows huge amounts of light down into the cabin.

To port you step slightly down and in through a cleverly designed door into the pilot house. It's a bright and airy place to spend time. The full length Webasto roof offers superb protection when closed, yet an open boat when opened at the push of a button. Visibility from the pilot house is a full 360 degrees. All of the seats have bolsters and offer excellent support.
The helm is ergonomically laid out, featuring twin 12" Simrad plotters in a glass surround, a Simrad VHF radio, bow thruster and trim tabs are all within easy reach of the central helm position. Plenty of handy cubbies are within easy reach too, either with USB sockets or wireless phone chargers built in.
Below the port navigator seat is a fridge with freezer drawer within easy reach of the Galley area. This features a sink and a two burner Webasto stove. Below is a huge amount of storage, and the whole unit has a great worktop perfect for checking charts etc. To starboard is a comfortable dinette with seating for 4 or 5 at a push. This table drops to create an extra double berth.
A sliding door leads to the bow cabin, again ample storage is built in and there is plenty of head height. Below the helm is a great heads with a folding door system that makes the best of the space when in use and closes flush when not needed. The heads is electric flush.

Exiting the rear of the pilot house via the glass sliding doors you enter one of the Saxdor 320's best assets, the rear deck. A huge table with folding leaves sits in front of a 3 seat rear bench again in caramel vinyl. The backrest tilts forward allowing the seats to face aft offering a great view when at anchor. Storage is again built in, however underneath is a huge lazarette accessed via an electric hatch. On either side are her party tricks the drop down sides. Again accessed via electric rams they almost double the deck space when both folded down and offer excellent access to the water. Either side of the engines are great swim platforms allowing easy mooring access as well as boarding ladders etc.

This boat was launched in 2024, and includes a pontoon mooring here in Salcombe for the remainder of the 2024 season as well as winter storage until March 2025 all paid for!
