Beautifully lined fibreglass hull open day boat with teak strip decking and a reliable and well maintained Beta Marine 13.5 hp inboard diesel engine. 

Designed by Barry Chisam and built as a 1 off commission by Thames Ditton boatyard in 1994.

Beniz is an elegant, custom crafted boat designed by Barry Chisam with beautiful, classic lines, having a fibreglass hull moulded from the Falmouth 18 sailboat mould and fitted with an Inboard Beta Marine 14.5hp diesel engine.  The boat is very stable, easy to manoeuvre and maintain in addition to being ready to go for stylish day trips on the river or estuary.  

Beniz is finely finished with a varnished Teak strip top deck, painted ply cockpit, teak outer and inner coamings, rubbing strakes and Samson Post. The Inner Deck is fitted with natural teak removable boards that allow easy access to the bilge areas.  Quality Davey and Co. polished gunmetal deck fittings (fuel filler + nameplate, Stemhead roller, bow eye, mooring bits, fairleads, fender eye plates). Transom hung rudder with teak tiller steering. 

The Beta Marine engine is the show engine from the 1993 Southampton Boat Show (original engine test certificate provided), which is serviced annually and is ready for the 2025 season. The engine is protected by a noise insulated and hinged painted ply cover.  12v battery start with a Beta Marine ignition and instrument panel.  All parts and technical support is available locally as the Beta Marine head office/factory is just a few minutes drive from the marina.

The cockpit is fitted out with a U shaped stern seating area and 2 forward bow and starboard seating areas with custom made seat cushions that are removed for home storage after each trip.  There is plenty of storage with a large forward locker plus hatches and space under the seating areas.

Currently moored in a prime spot at Gloucester Docks Victoria Basin opposite the pontoon entrance and car park.  Gloucester Quays shopping centre is a two minute walk in addition to many restaurants and bars (mooring transfer by negotiation).  Easy access onto the river Severn and Gloucester to Sharpness canal. Beniz has only had 1 previous owner and I have owned her for 16 years including 2 years in Amsterdam to cruise the canals and Amstel river.
